LOGO

The CDPHA logo was created by artist Laura Barreto in 2008, and symbolizes the institution’s goals as a center for documentation and research. The circular design of the image translates into a concentric and eccentric kinesthesia in which the triangular arrows that taper and converge towards the center merge, making reference to the preservation and storage of documents. The arrows that expand from the center and taper towards the ends refer to research and dissemination of new knowledge. At the request of the CDPHA board, the resolution of the original logo was redefined for resizing on the CDPHA website, and a new version was created by graphic designers Marcos de Oliveira Júnior and Marilene Almeida.
